Minizine

Now I must admit it wasn’t initially excited for the project. The idea of creating a booklet containing a route you could travel didn’t immediately spark my interest, and at first, it felt like just another assignment. However, as the process unfolded, I found myself becoming more engaged and even proud of the result especially when I linked it to art you could see around the city.

From start to finish, I was responsible for nearly every creative aspect: designing the logo and layout, writing the accompanying texts, illustrating the cover, and photographing all of the artworks myself. Each of these tasks required a different kind of focus and skill, and balancing them taught me a lot about the process of visual communication.

Taking the photographs turned out to be one of the most rewarding parts. It gave me a new appreciation for the artworks I had previously overlooked, and I started to see my hometown in a different light more layered, expressive, and alive.

In the end, even though this wasn’t a project I was looking forward to, it became one that I value highly. It taught me how much thought and effort goes into turning a simple idea into a coherent and polished final product. More importantly, it reminded me that creative projects can surprise you especially when you approach them with openness and willingness to mold it to be your own.
